Thirty of the highest certified instructors of the Philippines participated in a 3-day educational workshop. The workshop was opened by the General Secretary of the Philippines Muaythai Association, Pearl Managuelod who is also an IFMA Executive Board member and an Executive Board member of the National Olympic Committee of the Philippines. Miss Managuelod outlined the importance of the cooperation between the National Federation and International Federation as well as the National Olympic Committee towards the most important asset any sport has, the athletes.

IFMA General Secretary, Stephan Fox made a detailed presentation on activities that have taken place during the pandemic and IFMA’s plan towards post-pandemic. He praised MAP for their outstanding work and in fact being an example on being innovative with the activities MAP has done to engage the members and athletes during the lockdowns.

Grand Master Ajarn Chao, the Chair of IFMA’s cultural commission took all delegates through the practical session which was well received.

Gunter Plank delivered a succinct presentation on how to score in muaythai and was on hand to answer any technical official queries.

IFMA Chair of the Athlete’s Commision Janice Lyn made a presentation on physical and mental health during the pandemic and opened the meeting up for a Q&A session.
