After a very successful and memorable convention in Bangkok this year in April, the Gold Coast was confirmed to host the world’s largest and most important world sport and business summit. It will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from May the 5th to May the 10th, 2019.

SportAccord President Patrick Baumann revealed that the success of the 2018 Commonwealth Games played a major role in the decision. Queensland Tourism Minister Kate Jones showed her pride and stated that Queensland, Australia’s 6th largest city known for it’s beautiful beaches is ready to welcome and host the world leaders of sport and securing it for the Gold Coast further enhances its reputation as a world class event destination.

IFMA would like to congratulate Australia and the Gold Coast and we are all looking forward to embracing all the qualities, opportunities and Australian spirit, the Gold Coast and Queensland has to offer.
