Universality and sports development is important in the IFMA strategy and the African Muaythai Union was a driving force of muaythai development in Africa. The four-day event will include not only combat but also cultural elements of Wai Kru and Mai Muay will play an important part.
The opening ceremony will see IOC members, the President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, the President of The Association of African Sports Confederations (UCSA) representing the 54 National Olympic Committees, the Minister of Sport and certainly the representatives from the embassies including the Royal Thai Embassy.
