The finals of the IFMA Royal World Cup truly showed that Female Muaythai has become as popular as male muaythai with the stadium filled to capacity. Thailand won in the 48 kg division with Hanphan Rattanaphon against Vietnam.

In the 51 kg, we saw Thailand win a very close decision with France.

54 kg division, Swedish athlete Sofia Olofsson who truly showed world class dominance from the beginning won against Aho Andra from Estonia, while Kaita Semail from France in the 57 Kg division won against Evelina Wikner from Sweden.

8 times IFMA world Champion Valentina Shevchenko from Peru secured another title when she beat Mariya Valent from Belarus in a dynamic performance.

Australia, one of the strongest team in the tournament defeated Antonina Shevchenko from Peru, while in the 67 kg division Anastasia Nepianidi from Russia beat Isa Tidblad Keskikangas from Sweden.

In the 71 kg division, Australia booked their second gold, with Steph Glew beating Anna Tarasova from Russia

In the 75 kg division Laressa Van Emden from Finland, beat Andreja Ivas from Croatia

IFMA Sport Director Charissa Tynan said that if you look at this table you can see the strength of the sport, the development in so many countries and with muaythai included in so many upcoming games from World Games to Asian Beach Games and so many more, female muaythai is truly now taking an equal position and for many surpassing their male counterparts.
