IFMA World Championships 2019 updated the IFMA gold medal tally with some athletes defending their titles and some wearing the IFMA gold medal  for the first time in their lives.

Such athletes like Igor Liubchenko, Alena Liashkevich, Nili Block again became the best in their weight divisions showing the highest level of muaythai. Both Igor and Alena won their fourth gold medal, still Alena could set a record of four golds in a row not leaving all the challengers to wait for five years to overthrow the Belarusian in her 45 kg.

Almaz Sarsembekov (KAZ) Bugra Tugay Erdogan (TUR), Gadzhi Medzidov (RUS), Bui Yen Ly (VIE), Tessa Kakkonen (FIN) set a personal record and achieved their milestone in lives as they received their first gold medal of the World Muaythai Championships. Many of these athletes have been enjoying victories at the continental events and multi sports games but the most prestigious muaythai events has been an untaken hurdle for them for many years.

Today IFMA is proud that new names appeared on top of the list in so many divisions and that IFMA gold medals find their places in so many gyms around the world.
