The beautiful city of Split, Croatia will hold the 10th edition of the European Muaythai Championships October 22-29, where again all EMF members will unite to compete for the gold medals. Also, it’s a qualifier for the 2017 World Games in Poland under patronage of the IOC.
Branko Cikatic the President of the Croatian Muaythai Federation needs no introduction; he is a ring legend a former muaythai and K1 world champion and is the driving force of muaythai in Croatia and this event.

The Gripe stadium, the biggest indoor stadium in Split will be the venue for this mega event.
IFMA General Secretary and AIMS President Stephan Fox was part of this important press conference which seen next to Branko Cikatic many other legends of the sport present such as Tom Harnick, one of the pioneers of muaythai in Europe, and the one which made Holland muaythai athletes famous.

Branko Cikatic said that this European Championships is a great exposure for the city among the European countries as a touristic destination, but also as a venue for sports events. Also Croatian male and female athletes are looking to shine at their home arena and be reason of pride for the spectators at the arena and viewers of the TV broadcast. The journalists asked many question, and the representative of the major Hrvoje Akrap stated how excited Split is to welcome all guests in the city.

Branko Cicatic stated that Split is his home, and his career started here. He dreamed that one day he will bring the entire muaythai world to Croatia to show the strength of Croatian muaythai and Croatian hospitality. I am happy that my dream will come true this year thanking the city of Split ,the National Olympic Committee, EMF, IFMA and everyone who has supported this dream.
