Queen Elizabeth Stadium was packed to bursting point when some of the Contender Asia season one super stars took on the European challenges in a special WMC & IFMA sanctioned event.

The opening fight was between Wang Kang (China) Vs Yoshimoto (Japan). China is going from strong to stronger especially with the hard work of the Chinese Federation which was evident in the victory by point decision.

The next fight was between Zhang Dezheng (China) Vs Ng King Chun (HK). Hong Kong, which has become one of the muaythai power houses in Asia took this one on points.

Next up was a battle between Jason Wong (HK) Vs Anezaki (Japan), and Hong Kong again showed that they are a force to be reckoned with.


Then the first Contender took centre stage, Zic Zac (Singapore) Vs Roel Rink (Holland). The Contender Asia veteran showing great skills and made Singapore proud by winning by point decision.

Thailand’s famous Rambo took on Seboussi from France and dominated the bout taking a win by point decision.

The house was brought down woth Hong Kong super star Heung Pak Wing taking on Contender funny boy Zidov from Croatia. It was all out war from the opening bell, and Zidov got caught in the 2nd round, the referree stopping the fight. A great victory for Hong Kong.

The penultimate match of the evening was between Dutch super star Christaan Van Venooij and WMC Eurpean champ and Contender bad boy Dzhabar Askerov. Dzhabar once again not disappointing, showed again his dominance, winning on points.

The Main fight of the night was between Hichem Hachem from France Vs another Contender star Soren Mongkontong from Australia. Soren fighting is way back in the world ranking with a stunning 2nd round victory.
