Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to YOUTH in a language they understand.” – Nelson Mandela

The IFMA World Championship 2016 Mascot Design Competition was the perfect way to engage the youth and encourage them to express their passion for the sport creatively. IFMA was particularly inspired by the submission of the talented 17 year old Valeria Quino from Peru.

This competition was tailor made for young people such as Valeria, who has a passion for the sport and is currently studying fashion design. IFMA member federations like the Federacion Deportiva Peruana De Muaythai are committed to building young athletes with a vision to create responsible adults and future citizens of the world.

IFMA’s Athlete Career Programme provides important tools for athletes to  prepare them for life after competitive sport, and positive encouragement in all aspects of a young person’s life from the grass roots is an important philosophy urged of all IFMA member federations.

Valeria Quino is just one of an overwhelming 58 designs that were submitted for the competition! Stay tuned for the official announcement of the winning design!!
