Elisa Salinas needs no introduction in the realm of the silver screen: she is one of the world’s leading television producers, with many Hollywood productions under her belt, affectionately known as the “Queen of Reality TV” in South America.
She has produced over fifty telenovelas (the Spanish term for the very popular form of soap operas) and reality shows.
Yet what many people don’t know is that Elisa is also a huge fan and practitioner of Muaythai, which explains her healthy look and strong fitness level!
Elisa recently travelled to Bangkok with her family to train Muaythai and to visit the World Muaythai Council Headquarters, as well as some of the WMC and IFMA charity projects, spending a day with the kids and loving the experience.
Elisa was especially fond of the new “Sport Is Your Gang” project, which is being held by the WMC and IFMA in cooperation with the Peace and Sport Organization. She will be taking the project back to her native country of Mexico, which also faces challenges regarding youth and the draw of the gang lifestyle.
IFMA General Secretary Mr. Stephan Fox stated that he is looking forward to the future, not only to training with Elisa, but also to working together on social projects, using sport as the important tool that it is to promote positive change.
