In line with IFMA’s commitment to the fight against doping, the doping control was carried out at the recent European Championships in Paris in accordance with the Test Distribution Plan for the event as set by the IFMA Medical Commission as per WADA requirements.

Samples were collected randomly over the 5-day event with a total of 5 females and 8 males selected for testing. 2 of these athletes were required to submit blood samples to test for Human Growth Hormones.

While the ADFL carried out the sample collection at the doping control station, the samples will however, be sent to the WADA accredited laboratory in Belgium for analyses in light of the recent suspension of the Paris laboratory.
