The Deputy Minister of Thailand General Tanasak Pratimapragorn has been a guest of spectacular 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and took opportunity to visit the different sport facilities at the Games.

He took a special time out to come to the muaythai venue, enjoy the atmosphere and popularity of muaythai in the Games.

The Deputy Prime Minister then had a special meeting with IFMA leadership, the IFMA General Secretary Stephan Fox, the FAMA General Secretary Mervyn Tan, also IFMA Executive Board member, FAMA Vice President, and IFMA Executive Board member Dato Shahnaz Azmi.

A brief report was given to Deputy Prime Minister on development of muaythai as a recognised sport, and Deputy Prime Minister also promised to continue support of muaythai towards highest recognition, and the IOC recognition of muaythai certainly is a proud moment for the Kingdom.

Thailand is also proud to host the SportAccord Convention 2018 in Bangkok, and welcome all leaders of sport in Thailand in which muaythai and IFMA is one 92 sports.
