The second bout day saw the other part of the 800 participants entering the ring and engaging into the race for medals of the Youth World Muaythai Championships 2019.
Regardless the young age so many athletes already have had many bouts behind them and medals in their awards record.
Shamil Yermagambetov (KAZ) was a contender for the gold at the Youth World Championships 2018 in Bangkok. His final bout against Natthapong Thaiprakon (THA) was a great sight and it was the host who won gold in Bangkok. This time Shamil met the representative of the host country Muhammed Miran Bayram on his first bout and disappointed the local crowd.
It was an Irish day today as the gold medalist of the Youth Worlds 2018 Kinga Pietraszak (Junior 14 -15 Female Youth -51kg) entered the ring to defend her title from last year. This year Kinga transitioned to the higher age and weight division and the spectators and the audience of the live streaming will be looking forward to see her progress as she moves towards the senior division.


One of the favourites for medals in division 12 -13 Male Youth -36kg Louis James Fairhurst lost to the host Yasİn Cavgin making the local crowd out-voicing the pi muay music. James won silver in Bangkok but this time it was the Turkish athlete who will move forward. It was a truly emotional moment as the young Yasin celebrated victory over the strong opponent.
The Dutch duo had a triumphant day today as Quinty An Klein Gotink Junior 12 -13 Female Youth -46kg and Cheyenne Aldus Junior 12 -13 Female Youth -42kg who won their bouts today. Both girls are a real Muaythai treasure for the Dutch team and their performance truly promises many victories in future. For Quinty it will be another challenge in Antalya as Chloe Black (IRL) is moving towards the final from the other end of the bracket.


Skylah Hamill (AUS) is another athlete who knows the taste of being the world champion which makes her a favourite for the gold medal in Turkey. Today she proved her ambitions with her first victory. 12 -13 Female Youth -46kg is a truly exciting division to follow as so many athletes will not give in to get to the top of the awarding podium.

IFMA is getting to the third competition day and the middle of the events. The following bouts promise to get more and more exciting and for the crowd to have amazing experience of witnessing the growth of the young stars.
