The day saw the tournament’s first semifinals and the circle of contenders for medals is getting ever narrower.
The 4th competition day saw IFMA elite in female categories with spectators filling the Minsk Palace of Sport to the bursting point. The finest IFMA athletes entered the ring accompanied by rounds of applause from more than 3000 spectators.
The Swedish team made it a mission this year to be on top of the medal chart and Camilla Danielsson (SWE) confirming her intent, beating her opponent from the host of the European Muaythai Championships Svetlana Spetsyan. In the absence of Alena Leshkevich, Camilla and Anastasiia Kolosova (RUS) made it to the final to vie for the title of the European Muaythai Champion 2019. Anastasiia made a claim for the gold winning the 2018 European champion Satu Mykkanen.

Jade Jorand (FRA) made confident strides into the senior divisions, catapulting herself into the finals in the senior divisions beating out her opponent from Greece. Tomorrow Jade will be tested by the silver medalist of the World Muaythai Championships Ekaterina Gurina (RUS). Angela Mamic (SWE) and Anna Rantanen (FIN) had a Nordic final at the World Muaythai Championships 2019 in Bangkok.
Weeks later the story got its continuation as both athletes were signed up by their national teams to compete at the European arena in Minsk. This time Angela made a comeback equalising the score with Anna this year. She is now moving to the final against Russian Anna Tarasova.

One of the most anticipated fights of the event happened just now between Nili Block (ISR) and Ekaterina Vinnikova (RUS). Both athletes stay on top of IFMA hierarchy and bout between them is the must watch event of any competition.

The Israeli was unstoppable blocking the hard strikes from the Russian. Ekaterina seemed to learn how to avoid Nili’s strikes but her comeback will need to be postponed for the following IFMA event. Winning all three rounds Nili repeats the history of the world’s final winning her 23rd bout in a row.
