Colombian Muaythai Federation has been a true breakthrough over the last two years becoming one of the most socially active countries in the IFMA family. Discovered at the World Muaythai Championships 2018 in Mexico Colombian team has always been seen amond the participants shining with their bright yellow uniforms. 

The social impact the Colombian Muaythai do is truly remarkable and the credit should go the President of the Federation David Gonzales who in such short time established a strong image of Muaythai in Colombia as a sport changing the lives. The IFMA award for the best social initiative was a testimony of the hard work Muaythai activists did in Colombia.


This year is a historical for Colombia as they host its first continental event – Open South American Championships giving America its own qualification event for the World Games hosted in their continent, in the USA Birmingham.


Countries from Argentina to USA have received invitations and get ready to visit Medellin from 12 to 17 December. It will be a special event for all the youth in Colombia to see IFMA champions in their country and for many inspiration to continue excelling in sport and life.

 

 

Colombia is a true example that passion and commitment can be a driving force for achieving big goals and the South American Championships will be a true milestone in the development of art and sport of Muaythai.
