CBMTT is the sole federation recognized by the National Olympic Committee of Brazil and has worked very hard to promote muaythai as a sport and cultural artform.
Carlos Camacho the President stated that the cooperation between IFMA, the world governing body, the National Olympic Committee of Brazil, the national federation and the motherland of the sport Is key for the promotion and development of muaythai.
This is why the federation has signed a new MoU with the Royal Thai Embassy and also a new partnership with the Brazilian Confederation of University Sports and the first Brazilian muaythai university championship will be held in 2025.
The ministry of sports has fully recognized muaythai with proper development budgets for the athletes as athletes can train at the Olympic Academy which very much showcases that muaythai has become not only a sport for all but also an elite sport in Brazil.
