Last weekend, from July 21st – 22nd, the Brazilian Muaythai Championship was held in Curitiba, Paraná, a wonderful city in southern Brazil. Many prominent personalities took part in the Championship opening ceremony, including the Curitiba Municipal Secretary of Sports, Recreation and Youth, Mr. Marcelo Richa and the Paraná State Secretary of Sports, Mr. Rudimar Fedrigo, as well as the alderman of the City of Curitiba, Mr. Tico Kuzma.

The championship was attended by 22 states:

Alagoas – Maceió, Amapá – Macapá, Amazonas – Manaus, Bahia – Salvador, Ceará – Fortaleza, Espírito Santo – Vitória, Goiás – Goiânia, Maranhão – São Luís, Mato Grosso – Cuiabá, Mato Grosso do Sul – Campo Grande, Minas Gerais – Belo Horizonte, Pará – Belém, Paraíba – João Pessoa, Paraná – Curitiba, Pernambuco – Recife, Rio Grande do Norte – Natal, Rio Grande do Sul – Porto Alegre, Rondônia – Porto Velho, Roraima – Boa Vista, Santa Catarina – Florianópolis, São Paulo – São Paulo, and Sergipe – Aracaju.

Now CBMTT is currently working hard and preparing all athletes to participate in the 2012 IFMA World Championship in St. Petersburg, Russia.
