IFMA is proud to announce the best teams across all competitions of the 2020 IFMA World Virtual Muaythai Championships:

Philippines became the best in performing the traditional part of Muaythai in the Wai Kru tournament winning 3 gold and 1 silver medal at the World Championships. With so many outstanding athletes and a strong leadership, team Philippines got to the top of the standings and became the pride for their country in this challenging time.

In Aero Fit Kyrgyzstan won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze securing the Best Team Award in the Musical forms muaythai tournament. Kyrgyzstan truly deserved to be distinguished at this event showing an amazing unity by the national federation with the President Elena Shevchenko herself setting an example to her athletes by registering for the Shadow Box int he Masters division and bringing the gold medal to her team. A truly amazing approach leading by example, keeping up the morale of her team.

Palestine became another surprise pulling 6 gold medals and 1 bronze for their federation becoming the best team in the Max Fit competition. The discipline and commitment to abiding to the rules was the strength of the team Palestine, paired with outstanding performances became their key to the Best Team award.

 

 

In the Shadow Box division it was Afghanistan which stunned the world collecting 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze. Any team would wish to have such a result at IFMA events, and again it shows that giving equal opportunity to athletes from all backgrounds changes the overall performance picture in the competition results. Congratulations team Afghanistan!

The IFMA Virtual World Championships truly showed that unity, leadership and positive approach are the key to victory and IFMA is proud to see these qualities in so many national Muaythai federations across the world.
