The second day of the Royal World Cup  was even larger than the first with crowds supporting the athletes from the first to the last bell. The stadium was filled with flags from all participating countries, while fans cheered on their teams.

Muaythai is truly an international sport and winning against a Thai champion in Thailand in front of thousands and millions on TV is a big achievement. The crowd erupted when Australian champion, Yolanda Schmidt won the Thai super star, FISU and IFMA champion, and Muaythai Angel Teahiran Yadrung. After a world class match, the Australian hand was raised.

A standing ovation from the entire stadium went to both athletes.

Amongst other exciting matches there was another Australian victory in the female division, USA beating Italy,Phil won India, France came a winner in a tight match against Germany, and New Zealand was stronger the Sweden. Another Thai athlete restored pride by beating Russia.

Many other exciting matches also took place at the National Stadium with spectators from New Zealand performing the traditional Haka dance giving New Zealand the team spirit and charging the whole stadium with emotions worthy of a high octane sporting event; Russia coloured the spectators stand in red and white bringing the 97 strong team of participants. The local Thai crowd has provided a unique Thai support for the host athletes and hospitality for the guests.

The third day promises to give ever more exciting matches to all the participants and great emotions for spectators of the Royal World Cup.
