Participants from all over the world made rosters of their teams in the first ever Virtual Muaythai Championships. Throughout multiple divisions and 4 competitions Asian countries became the most synchronised and balanced teams in Aero Fit, the fittest and most agile went through to the final in Max Fit.
For Muaythai Asia this event truly became a triumph as Asian teams collected Best Team award in each category.
Philippines became the best in performing the traditional part of Muaythai in the Wai Kru tournament winning 3 gold and 1 silver.
In the Shadow Box division it was Afghanistan which stunned the world collecting 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze.
In Aero Fit Kyrgyzstan won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze securing the Best Team Award in the Musical forms muaythai tournament.
Palestine became another surprise pulling 6 gold medals and 1 bronze for their federation becoming the best team in the Max Fit competition.
IFMA is proud to witness the highest attendance of the virtual event from countries which for various reasons are limited in opportunities to attend physical events. It’s a true testimonial on how crisis can create opportunity, and when seized to the maximum, becoming a Best Team of IFMA event needs no longer be just a dream.
