The Goynuk Ataturk Sport Arena in Antalya, Türkiye, came alive tonight as the world’s Muaythai family united under one roof to kick off the 2025 IFMA Senior World Championships with a spectacular Opening Ceremony that echoed far beyond the arena walls.
With over 2,000 athletes, coaches, dignitaries, and fans from more than 80 nations, the atmosphere was electric — a powerful symbol of unity in diversity, this year’s defining theme. The arena vibrated with energy as athletes from all five continents proudly paraded in their national colours, embodying the Olympic values of excellence, respect, and friendship.
The ceremony opened with a breathtaking cultural performance, weaving together the rich tapestry of Türkiye’s heritage, blending ancient rhythms with modern flair. The performance honoured the host country’s vibrant past while welcoming the world to share in its present — a celebration of unity through tradition.
Hasan Yildiz, President of both the Turkish and European Muaythai Federations, extended a heartfelt welcome:
