Lausanne, the home of the IOC, SportAccord and many world federations hosted the 2010 World Martial Art & Combat Sports Meeting.
Representatives of the 14 world recognised martial art & combat sports, both Olympic and non-Olympic, participated at the meeting, chaired by SportAccord President, Mr. Hein Verbruggen.
Muaythai and IFMA was represented by Mr. Stephan Fox, IFMA General Secretary, whom has been a member of the SportAccord Martial Art Group since its establishment.
Mr. Fox stated “This is very important for all martial arts, as SportAccord is a solid partner of the IOC and the first SportAccord Combat Games in Beijing was a historic event for all world martial arts and combat sports”.
The meeting included the debriefing of the first SportAccord Combat Games and the establishment of the criterion for the next edition of the games.
