The first day of the Uzbekistan’s IFMA World Championships was an extremely busy one.
75 countries have arrived in Tashkent in the past couple of days and have all been transported to their 4* hotels. All officials, Presidents and VIPs are transported in style with their own drivers and interpreters to facilitate the smooth running of the event.
The day started early for all the athletes who were at the weigh-in from 7am. Everything was more than smooth.
Following the weigh-in, the team managers’ meeting took place and a standing was given to the Uzbekistan Professional and Amateur Muaythai Federation.
It was full house at the draw, with over 50 press representatives in attendance.
It was then time for the cultural festival and the opening ceremony.
After the opening ceremony, a welcome dinner was arranged for over 1000 hosts from all five continents.
On tomorrow’s schedule are the first 64 fights.
