Global Muaythai Events | 2–8 March 2026
The international Muaythai calendar continues to gather momentum as IFMA member federations and partners organise competitions, development programmes, and professional bouts across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
This week’s IFMA Map highlights the breadth of activity within the global Muaythai community, from national championships and grassroots development initiatives to rookie competitions and professional WMC title fights.
Across all levels of the sport, athletes continue to progress through structured pathways supported by their national federations.

Italy – 2026 National Muaythai Championships
The Federazione Italiana Muay Thai (FIKBMS) hosts the 2026 Italian National Muaythai Championships, one of the first major domestic events of the Italian sporting season.
The championships bring together athletes, coaches, and clubs from across the country to compete in a highly organised and technically demanding environment. National championships remain a key pillar of athlete development, providing an opportunity for competitors to measure themselves against the country’s best while reinforcing the technical standards required for international competition.
Ecuador – Muaythai Abierto Nacional
In Quito, the Federación Ecuatoriana de Muaythai stages the Muaythai Abierto Nacional, gathering athletes from across Ecuador for a full day of competition.
Hosted at the Coliseo “Los Quitus” within the Concentración Deportiva de Pichincha, the event welcomes participants across all divisions and categories. Supported by national sporting authorities, the tournament reflects Ecuador’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Muaythai development and expanding opportunities for athletes nationwide.


Belgium – IFMA Muaythai Development Programme
The Belgian Muaythai Organisation continues its development work with an IFMA Muaythai Development sparring and training session.
The programme begins with youth sparring sessions for athletes aged 8–13, followed by development training for athletes aged 14 and above. The initiative is designed to strengthen technical skills, build experience in a controlled environment, and reinforce the importance of community within the sport. The day concludes with a shared Iftar, reflecting the inclusive and cultural values embedded in the Muaythai community.
Hong Kong – Amateur Muaythai Rookie Competition
The Hong Kong Muay Thai Association hosts the 2026 Hong Kong Amateur Muaythai Rookie Competition, an event dedicated to emerging athletes making their first competitive appearances.
With participation from more than twenty gyms across the region, the competition provides a valuable platform for young fighters to experience the ring atmosphere and begin their competitive journeys within a structured federation framework.


Greece – Cretan Cup VS / Novice Championship
The Panhellenic Muaythai Federation presents the Cretan Cup VS / Novice Championship in Chania.
The event includes competitive VS bouts alongside novice divisions designed to introduce developing athletes to structured competition. Open to all registered member clubs, the tournament plays an important role in strengthening grassroots participation and expanding competitive opportunities within Greece.
Spain – International Women’s Day Muaythai Seminar
The Federación Española de Kickboxing y Muaythai (FEKM) celebrates International Women’s Day with a special Muaythai seminar led by internationally decorated Spanish athlete Saray Medina.
The open training session welcomes participants of all levels and highlights the growing role of women within Muaythai, both as athletes and leaders in the sport.
Singapore – WMC Pro-Series with Asian Title Bout
Singapore hosts the WMC Pro-Series 10, organised by the Singapore Muaythai Association (SMA).
The event features a headline WMC Asian Bantamweight Title bout between Singapore’s “The Genius” and Filipino challenger Junior Bagsik. As part of the World Muaythai Council professional circuit, the event offers a high-level platform for professional athletes and strengthens Singapore’s role as an emerging hub for elite Muaythai competition in the region.
