Muaythai continues its steady national development in South Asia, having been officially included in the 35th National Games of Pakistan, held in Karachi from 6–13 December 2025.

The Muaythai competitions took place on 8–9 December at Kakri Ground, Lyari, under the organisation of the Sindh Muaythai Association and the supervision of the Pakistan Muaythai Federation. The event brought together male and female athletes from across the country, demonstrating the growing depth and structure of the sport at national level.
The inclusion of Muaythai within Pakistan’s premier multi-sport event represents an important milestone in the sport’s continued integration within the recognised national sports framework. Participation in National Games strengthens athlete pathways, enhances visibility within the Olympic movement structure, and reinforces alignment with recognised governance standards.
The competitions were honoured by the presence of His Excellency Surashete Bootinand, Consul General of Thailand in Karachi, who attended as Chief Guest and presented medals to the winners. His attendance highlighted the cultural heritage of Muaythai and the strong ties between Thailand and Pakistan in promoting the sport.
IFMA congratulates the Pakistan Muaythai Federation and the Sindh Muaythai Association for their dedicated work in advancing Muaythai nationally and ensuring its continued growth within the country’s sporting landscape.
