Hard work pays off. IFMA’s member federation in Monaco, after being fully recognized by the government of Monaco, has also just been granted full recognition from the National Olympic Committee of Monaco.
The Monaco federation has been working hard to fulfill all necessary requirements and has been a member of IFMA since its inauguration.
The beautiful principality of Monaco is an important one for Muaythai, as it is the seat of IFMA’s partner organization, Peace and Sport whose founder and president is former Olympian Mr. Joel Bouzou. The Peace and Sport organization is under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, who is also the President of the Olympic Committee of Monaco.
This recognition comes right in time as IFMA has begun the process of applying for recognition from the IOC, and now the national federation can display the five rings of their national Olympic Committee.
The Monaco Muaythai federation has also been doing fantastic work under IFMA’s “Sport is your Gang” campaign, to use Muaythai training and fitness as a way of educating youth for a healthy, wholesome lifestyle.
The world Muaythai community congratulates Monaco’s Muaythai and celebrates this wonderful step together.
