This distinguished honour reflects not only exceptional athletic performance, but also the values of dedication, perseverance, and excellence that define the global sporting movement. Ms. Chavez’s achievement stands as a source of inspiration for athletes and sporting communities worldwide.

IFMA also extends its sincere congratulations to Germany’s remarkable dance partnership, Marius-Andrei Balan and Khrystyna Moshenska, whose artistry, discipline, and precision earned them the distinction of 1st Runner-Up, exemplifying the cultural richness and diversity celebrated within The World Games.

With great pride, IFMA recognises Laura Burgos, who was honoured as 2nd Runner-Up. Her composure, resilience, and leadership throughout the voting process exemplify the highest standards of sporting excellence.

The 2025 results represent a historic milestone for Mexico and CONADE, with two Mexican athletes finishing among the top three an achievement that reflects the nation’s strong sporting structure, effective athlete development pathways, and enduring commitment to excellence.

IFMA expresses its sincere appreciation to the entire IFMA family, including national federations, commissions, Athletes’ Commission members, athletes, coaches, administrators, and supporters, whose engagement and participation throughout the voting period, from 12 January to 2 February, demonstrated the unity and strength of the global Muaythai community.

Finally, IFMA extends its gratitude to The World Games for the successful organisation of the Athlete of the Year voting programme, and for continuing to provide an exceptional international platform that celebrates athletes, connects fans, and reinforces the unifying power of sport across all disciplines.

IFMA congratulates all honourees and reaffirms its commitment to the values of excellence, integrity, and unity within the international sporting movement.
