Bangkok, December 12, 2025 — The historic Lumpinee Stadium, the spiritual home of Muaythai, proudly hosted the Team Manager Meeting for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
The meeting was officially opened by IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, who warmly welcomed and greeted the delegations as part of the host country, emphasizing Thailand’s pride in hosting the SEA Games and Muaythai’s role as a unifying sport across the region.
The session was then chaired by Dato Shannaz Azmi, Technical Delegate for Muaythai at the SEA Games, who guided managers and officials through the essential preparations ahead of competition. Dato Shannaz highlighted the rules and regulations, detailed the competition schedule, and underscored the importance of health and safety for all athletes. The meeting also included the official draw, setting the stage for both the combat competitions and the cultural divisions, which will run from December 13–17.
Representatives from across Southeast Asia — Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Lao, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore — were all present, demonstrating the unity and spirit of the SEA Games family.
The atmosphere was one of anticipation and respect, as teams prepared to compete in one of Thailand’s most iconic venues. Lumpinee Stadium, with its rich history and tradition, will serve as the perfect backdrop for athletes to showcase their skills, culture, and sportsmanship.
As the meeting concluded, the message was clear: the SEA Games Muaythai competitions will not only be a test of strength and skill, but also a celebration of heritage, inclusion, and friendship across nations.
Chok Dee to all the athletes as they step into the ring at Lumpinee Stadium — a place where legends are made and history continues to be written.
