Amman, Jordan has received the honour to host the Arabs Muaythai Championship with around 20 Arabic countries participating. The championship will be under the patronage of HE Prince Nawaf, the brother of King Abdullah, King of Jordan.
There will be Junior and Senior divisions for both male and female participants and a special Muay Boran contest will take place.
Sami Kiblawi, IFMA Executive Boardmember and spokesperson of the Arab Muaythai Federation stated that this is an important event for sporting and cultural exchange for the Asian countries and also a great test before the upcoming Asian Beach Games and that many special events are planned for the Junior competition as they are the future of the sport. IFMA President, Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, and FAMA president, HE Karim Massimov, have sent their warm wishes to all participating countries and athletes.
