On the 3rd of May three Muaythai athletes known as ‘The 3 Ninjas’, Joel Burum Jarred Rothwell and Zac Reid ran the entire way around Koh Samui, Thailand, to raise money and awareness for kids living on Koh Samui with mental disabilities.

The trio from the Lamai Gym which is under the umbrella of the WMC completed a 52 km charity run around the island in an astonishing 6 hours to raise money for the Samui Special Needs Foundation, a school which can cater for up to 60 students but currently only has an average of 4 students per day. Transport and staffing is an issue so the boys came together in hope to raise enough for a school van, another staff member and a tidy up of the kids grounds.

This is what being a true champion is about with all the donations going to the Samui Learning Center For Special needs, in the hopes that the donations can improve the lives of the kids that attend school there everyday.

The 3 Ninjas threw an emotional party/celebration at the Special needs school where they handed over the vehicle and presented the donations to the school.

Jarred Rothwell stated that “We conquered the island in a time of 6 hours.. there were a few hiccups along the way but a lot of laughs and an everlasting memory was made. This was no easy challenge, we pushed our bodies to the limit and completed the 52km marathon as a team! With joy in our hearts and smiles on our faces”
