MONTE-CARLO – is counting down the days till the 2nd Monte-Carlo Fighting Masters, which will take place on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 at the Louis II Stadium, in the Salle Gaston Medecin.
This past weekend, the world famous Monte-Carlo Formula 1 event took place, and there are less than three weeks to go until the Monte-Carlo Fighting Masters.
With a total of 14 world class fighters participating in 7 fights for 7 Muaythai boxing world championships on the card, HSH Prince Albert II will be in attendance to give the Kings Trophy to the best fighter.
The French team is in full preparation, and one of the French fighters, Yohan Lidon, stated that to fight on such a card is truly the highlight of his career so far.
Team Thailand is also in full preparation and the fighters are anticipating the opportunity to showcase their skill in attendance of HSH Prince Albert II. Thai superstar Buakaw Banchamek stated that he will be in top form and is looking forward to putting on a show to win the most prestigious belt, the WMC World Title, and to be one of the contenders for the Trophy given by HSH Prince Albert II.
Buakaw also states that there has been a rumour that he will be competing in Macau only a week before the Fighting Masters event, but reiterates that it is only a rumour. He will be promoting Muaythai at a friendly exhibition match in Macau, but the real fighting will take place at the Monte-Carlo Fighting Masters.
Another highlight to look forward in the Heavyweight division to will be the fight between Russian superstar Artem Vakhitov, four-time world champion and Belarusian superstar Dzianis Hancharonak, six-time world champion. This will be a rematch from when they last met in the 2013 SportAccord World Combat Games.
