This year’s appointed Ad-Hoc Management Committee convened for its first meeting of the year. As per IFMA Constitution, the AHMC is the highest authoritative organ of the IFMA and is comprised of between 9 to 13 members IFMA Executive Committee and Commissions. It is allocated for specific duties and roles in

relation to projects, events, campaigns and/or all relevant IFMA functions. This year’s AHMC convened for its 2021 Kick-Off meeting via zoom and discussed a variety actions and tasks towards IFMA’s strategic plan.

 

The meeting’s agenda focussed on some key development areas including Media & Marketing, Communication, Female development, the One Standard Muaythai Online Academy, Implementation of the Safeguarding Policy, 2021 Virtual Championships, Muaythai World League, steps to tackle the issues with non-muaythai organisations sanctioning muaythai events, strategies for NFs during to continue development during the pandemic and possible updates for medical requirements for the return to regular events.

 

All members of this actively engaged working group have been tasked with various action items to pool the expertise, network and resources of the individual members towards delivering results and firm steps towards IFMA’s continued development as we push through the turbulent times and plan for the future of the sport.
