Social responsibility is an important part of Muaythai, and IFMA was awarded for its commitment to making the world a better place by receiving the 2014 SportAccord Spirit of Sport award for the Sport is Your Gang campaign.
What better occasion could there be during the competition week at the 2015 Muaythai University World Cup, than to take all VIPs and participating National Federations to visit one of the Thailand locations of the worldwide project.
IFMA President, Dr Sakchy Tapsuwan led the delegates to the Sport Is Your Gang location himself. FISU Director of World University Championships, Paulo Ferreira was a part of the delegation of VIPs attending the site. About 200 guest from over 40 countries joined in the morning of fun when the kids in the campaign showcased Muay Aerobic and Muay Boran, all parts of the IFMA disciplines of Muaythai.
Dr Sakchye stated that we must continue to use the power of Muaythai to help the kids and communities in need, and the smile in their faces is our reward and motivation to keep up the good fight.
