Muaythai ambassador for the World Combat Games 2013

Star of hit martial art movie “Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior”, Tony Jaa, will represent muaythai during the SportAccord World Combat Games 2013. 

Famous martial artist, muaythai action star Tony Jaa will be one of the 15 sport ambassadors for SportAccord World Combat Games that will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, from October 18-26.

The SportAccord World Combat Games is an international sporting event which promotes values of self-control, determination and technical mastery, the Martial Arts and Combat Sports integrate elements of culture, wisdom, friendship to create an elite sports competition – the Art of Combat.

Each of the 15 Martial Arts and Combat Sports, recognized by the SportAccord and/or the IOC, will send one ambassador to the Games. Famous Thai martial artist, actor, choreographer, and stuntman, Tony Jaa will represent muaythai during the Games. He will be the spokesperson for muaythai, will conduct workshops, and participate in the Opening Ceremony and muaythai cultural nights.
